I've tried to dye my daughter's hair jet black using the 2 step method (pure henna then pure indigo) and it turns out dark brown. I think I didnt leave the indigo on long enough (I left it on 60 minutes but I'm reading indigo needs more time than henna)? We just did it 3 days ago and it is not darkening. Do you think it would be worth trying to do just another round of indigo to try and get the dark black we are looking for? Or does anyone else have any tips?

Hi Jennifer, it should get darker overnight and the next 24 hours, you can do it anytime, it's good for the hair.
Some hair is more absorbent than others and comes out darker or lighter depending on the person and has nothing to do with race ( putting that out for others reading). An hour should be plenty and you can leave it on for 1.5 any longer will more than likely not make a difference. '
Another technique is using dark brown henna hair dye with pure indigo powder mixed in. mixed 50/50 this should give her black and it is a one-step.
Doing it again will make it darker if you have more.
